Bring your horse on a two-day (three night) break and experience the changing landscape and breathtaking views as you travel.
An all inclusive package where you can come alone or with a friend, and you can choose to be escorted or just ride with route maps and clearly written notes. Travel light using your saddlebags.
Your start point is at the Travelling Horse Holiday base staying in Bed and Breakfast accommodation arriving the night prior to your first days ride, returning there the following day after staying in a cosy historic, friendly Drovers Inn on your second night.
This is a challenging but worthwhile ride with steep tracks and wonderful vistas. The distance each way is approximately 20 miles (32kms) and you can opt for a pub stop with horse tethering post for lunch on the return journey instead of a packed lunch (excluding alcoholic beverages).
Your evening meals will be included as well as your grazing/stabling (which ever is available). If you require luggage transfer we can arrange this, at an additional cost, with the local taxi company.

Experience the changing landscape and breathtaking views as you travel. See Herons standing in the river fishing or flying sedately over head. Watch the Rooks attacking Buzzards circling on a thermal searching for prey. Squirrels scuttling up the nearest tree. Hear the crunch of the cows as they eat grass in the fields and the call of fledgling birds in spring. Be a spectator as the lambs frolick about.
This ride is over the mountains from our base and into pretty valleys and majestic forests. You have the luxury a massage for your horse and reflexology treatment for you, followed by a good hearty meal cooked by your host after your second days ride

Stay in a 12th century country house with a welcome, oak panelled hall and beautiful luxurious rooms, swimming pool, tennis court and gardens.
All you could wish for with fine freshly cooked food at the end of the day. Your horse will have the very best in stables too.
Escorted rides take you off the beaten track. Taking you along quiet country lanes, up hill and down dale with fresh water streams plentiful for your horse to drink from. There's also lush grass to eat on route.
