Planning your Horse Holiday
Horse Holidays in North Wales
"Your horse riding holiday adventure could begin here"
Our range of routes is always expanding.
You have 2 options, either staying at one venue and doing petal rides around it (single day circular route), or for the more adventurous, you can ride out to your overnight stop and return the next day via a different route.
All our packages include route notes and maps, and you have the option of having an experienced local rider along as an escort.

Horse riding trails and routes!
We try to keep to off road areas, but it is impossible in travelling not to use quiet country lanes and occasionally cross a busy main road. However we endeavour to keep this to a minimum.
Travelling Light.
These holidays are for those that don’t mind travelling light using saddlebags and carrying the minimum they require. However if you wish we can arrange luggage transport via Taxi Service by prior arrangement at your cost.
Is my horse ready for a long distance ride?
Your horse must be able to do at least ten miles per day. The maximum daily distance is approximately twenty miles per day.
Mountainous areas do tax the horse not used to climbing and descending hills.
Things to consider prior to going on your horse holiday.
Please make sure your horse is shod up to ten days prior to your holiday.
The routes take you into remote areas where there are large mobile phone black spots. Loosing shoes in these places makes rescue difficult and contacting farriers, as well a vets, impossible, so we advise that you carry a hoof boot. We know where you are going so if anything should happen we will be able to find you. Please include in your kit a bright rider jacket and a small first aid kit for you and your horse. Some bailer twine and a penknife can come in handy. Dialling 112 may get you a mobile on another network service in emergency.
We will do all we can to ensure your horse riding holiday goes smoothly.
We will transport your horse back to base if necessary. We have a list of farriers and vets available that you will be given when you ride with route maps and notes and our base contact/mobile number.
Bed and Breakfast for you and your horse!
The accommodation will vary but we do work with our hosts to provide welcoming and reasonable standard for both you and your horse.
Non-Horse Riders.
Non-riders, and cyclists accompanying the horse rider are welcome. Please enquire for prices.Jenni Miller
